No he was an arse. Really pissed me off talking down to me as if I were 18 and commiting murder. I counted 6 cars within sight of me with no front tags either, I was sitting in a parking spot, went and checked a couple, all from maryland.

I got a repair order which basically made me fix it and get it signed off within 10 days, the mechanic laughed when I told him why I got pulled over.

 

I used similar to this the other weekend. "Car was in a front end accident. I have the plate with me. Bracket is on back order." WHen the cop asked why I wouldn't just screw it into the bumper and I said "and scratch up my paintjob??" He agreed with me. I said I'd put it in the windshield and he said that wasn't good enough.

This was in Dorchester county.

 

Va / MD 2 plate law sucks..they need to listen to NC or FL legislators

Where are you moving from? I kept the NY tags on my car and I don't run a front plate. I think as soon as they notice that I'm from out of state, they leave me alone... [knock on wood]

i got one in my old car. it was sitting in the passenger side dash and they cited me for improper display. but thats VB. They also pulled out a tape measure and cited me for my car being to low
