Stands for Team Irvine Team Speed, the originating group for scam prevention. Back in the day scamming was huge in CA, so a number of guys from the Irvine area banded together and made some "appearances" at a few scammer doorsteps. "Honorary members" were slowly inducted in as word spread of the good deeds and they wanted to do similar things in their local areas.

I think I've been a TITS member in Boston, southern Florida, central Florida, and now MD. I haven't had a need to make any appearances lately. I believe the last one was in southern Florida a few years back... a kid was jerking around some guy in MI (if memory serves), $400 for some screwed up rims or whatnot. I showed up with a number of other S owners, explained to him why I was there and what I would be doing should he choose not to pay a debt he rightly owed. He went inside, explained things to his mom (who knows what he told her, but frankly I didn't care), and I had a check in my hand within 5 minutes for the full amount plus $25 extra "for the trouble".
