Okay Mid-A... I am speaking with one of our other Community Organizers through AOL Instant Messanger right now and we are discussing some different meet idea's for the 2007 year. What I'd like to do is get everyone's input on additional idea's that can be offered.

Here is what we have gathered so far :

March : Mod Day (Southern Virginia)
Early April : Wake the Dragon (Official S2Ki Meet)
Late April : WhrDLMI BBQ Day (West Virginia)
May : Meet, Greet, Eat at Inline Pro (Northern Virginia)
Early June : Group Drive (Baltimore)
Late June : Picnic and Softball Game (Southern Virginia)



For starters, those are the larger meets that we are considering. I'd like to have a Mod-Day in late March, however we are having a problem finding a secure location that can host a crowd this large.


What other events would members like to see?

I think Brian was planning a Memorial Day BBQ is his area also.

Were you thinking of larger meets? Or did you want ideas for smaller meets as well?

We are thinking of any meet in general. The events in the Mid-Atlantic Region have fallen quite a bit over the past few years. What I am hoping is that now with more Organizer Coverage, we can raise the amount of events and it's participants during the 2007 calender year!

As usual, I will be offering our Hampton Roads Dinners through the months. However, the Picnic and Softball Game I am hoping will attract all of Mid-A!

 

I plan on hosting my own BBQ sometime in April (after the Dragon) or early May.

It is best if I have it before the real summer starts as the bugs in WV are un-godly...




I think the Inline BBQ is a good one. Brian's MemDay deal was a TON of fun last year.

I'd rather see regional Mod-Days than one or two HUGE deals... It's not that I am against togetherness or anything it's just that a lot of people wanting to do a lot of stuff all at once gets to be a bit much and makes for some fairly "testy" individuals...

 

i would like to see a regular weekly or bi-weekly NoVa meet somewhere between Arlington, Alexandria and Fairfax. (something other than the ECB meet, lets have an S2Ki.net meet)

id like to see another Karting meet at G-Force happen

also a cruise to Ocean City one weekend would be nice
