Default Got my wheels on finally!

You might have seen a duplicate posting in the Gallery but...I wanted to do one for the Mid A too

I guess it's not as much of a "teaser" shot as a crappy shot. I took it last night with my camera phone. I will have (slightly) better ones I take with my point and shoot camera in the next day or two.

Advan Model 5s

Kind of like a black chrome...the outside is chrome, the inside of the spokes and wheels is blackish chrome.

17 X 9 +45 all around

235/45/17 front 255/40/17

Fenders have been just barely rolled and tab was relocated so hopefully they don't rub

needs a drop but it's my daily for now plus I am kinda broke...but in time...I kind of would like to get front fenders and overfenders before i would do this too

First impressions...not sure if they are lighter or heavier than stock, but I wouldn't say they are much lighter. The look is perfect although sometimes I wish they were 18s. Since I just cruise for the most part this is important to me. With the wider front tires/different width and offset the steering feels a little "heavier", or you know, it requires more force to get steering response.

I realize the pictures aren't great...I just point and shoot though. Comments AND criticism welcome

front might rub with that tire size...back will too once you lower it, and it might even rub on dips/sharp turns.

By the way, save yourself the trouble and ditch the chrome. Immediately.

I don't mind the criticism, but I don't think I'm just going to get rid of them after I just put them on

A decent drop would cost you a fraction of the price of those wheels and tires... that's what I would have done first, personally. Also, you will encounter a few rubbing issues with that width and offset. But the polished look, when done right, doesn't look bad at all, and from what I can see, those wheels look pretty good.

But please do yourself a favor and get your suspension taken care of immediately.

i bought my car and was totally against dropping the car like 200% but then i saw a few more cars with just a 1 to 2 inch drop aqnd more and more i like it so i did it the cheapo way and bought used springs on stock struts.. well now i think it might have been the best money i have spent so far on the car. at prob in the next yr or maybe this summer ill get a set of used but nice coilovers. i am not against the chrome look one bit just do yourself a favor.. you bought chrome so take care of it the way it should be.. i hate seeing dirty wheels! back to the dropping of the car.. just look for a used yet of a decent spring on stock struts.. you will love it. PROMISE

I agree, I was in the same position as well. The only way I say stock ride height is acceptable is if you have stock wheels. Other than that it just doesn't look right.
