Default Great roads in the NoVa area?

Hi. So far, there are only two or three places I enjoy driving in NoVa: Route1 South toward Fredericksburg, Joplin Road toward 234, and Aiden Road toward the Police Training Academy. Does anyone in NoVa know these roads?

Are there any other roads in Nova that would be fun to drive?

There are some nice roads out around Middleburg. Love Snickersville Tpke which is a right turn just after Aldie on Route 50 W, a few miles before Middleburg. Plan to drive that one again this Sun.

Pretty much anywhere around Clifton is fun roads. However, apparently lots of people have figured that out and now they're starting to get paranoid about fast drivers. 25 MPH speed limits on every road and occasionally cops around. If you're driving at night, watch for deer.

Purcell Rd. off of Hoadley or 234 in Prince William County. Only 1 stop sign but nice hills and twisties. Be careful.

Clifton is mostly 35mph. Like he just said watch for deer at all times.

If you want to PM me your e-mail address I would be happy to send you the route that I laid out for the "First Annual Spring Fling". The fun part is from RT 7 & RT 193 in Drainsville to RT 193 where it intersects with I-495 (Washington Beltway). I mapped out an alternate route to stay off the straight part of RT 193. Nice back roads with some "incredible houses" along the way to gawk at.

Although, this is further north than your mentions.

Hop on Rt 7 near Tyson's Corner, take Old Georgetown Pike through Great Falls, and take it all the way to Georgetown. It will cross over 495 also.

For NoVa, it's a great drive.

George Washington Memorial Parkway on the Greatfalls side, but you do have to watch for deer once in a while. back roads through Vienna are also fun
