Group Pricing on Car Guys Event @ Summit Point June 28-29
I've managed to secure a group rate for a Car Guys event at Summit Point on June 28-29. It's a weekend driver's school with 1.5 hours of track time on Saturday, and 2 hours on Sunday for a total of 3.5 hours. There will be 4 run groups, 30 minutes each, and right now there are only about 30 people signed up (which means LOTS of room on the track). Since many of the people coming to this event are from out of town, people typically tend to start to leave in the afternoon, and once that happens, Car Guys compresses the event into fewer run groups (4->3->etc), which will result in much more track time for everyone involved. Car Guys is one of the best run events out there, and they've been around for YEARS. Great instructors, and great safety record as well.
I've arranged for a group rate of $385 for this event, normal price is $500 for the event.
All cars are welcome, but S2000s will need to have an aftermarket rollbar to run.
For more information on Car Guys, you can check out their webpage at http://www.carguys.com.
Please PM me for further details if you'd like to sign up for this event. I'd like to get everything in to Car Guys in time for them to mail out information packets to people, thanks!

As much as I would like to attend more track events, I am not sure I am ready to cut up my car to add a roll bar..
Maybe I will just look for a cheap Miata or something to make into a track only car.

As someone who has flipped a car three times on the race track and is a BSR FATT instructor, a rollbar in an S2000 is a big .
You see, the funny thing is that an instructor, who doesn't know you or your driving abilities from Adam might be just a weee bit hesitant to use their own head as the rollbar. If any of you have ever been to a FATT before, do you ever wonder why the instructor may ask, "So, have you done anything to soup it up?" It's not for conversation's sake, but for safety's.

Also, an instructor's favorite thing to hear is "I have 600 wheel horsepower, stock brakes and street tires".

Add-on rollbars not required.
I just called CarGuys to confirm my slot for next weekend and to double-check that my totally stock S2000 was O.K. They said, no problem!
First I'm made to feel guilty for lurking and not signing up, and then I find that I could have saved over a hundred bucks!
I'm the gray-haired guy in D.C. with the Spa with Texas plates....
