Default hardtop, how much are they going for?

i am gonna be looking at a car this week that has hardtop.
i don't need hardtop as i have a garage and this will be my weekend car.

how much can i look to sell a hardtop for?
please advise.

You will not get more than $2k for one. Why? The market is flooded with them currently and other vendors have been offering options. When the plant where the oem ones were made had a fire and supply of tops was cut-off, one could get around $2500 for a used one.

Also remember that a buyer will need the hardware to install. Color of the current top is also a limiting factor.

I usually see them go for about $2000
