^ I heard all the submariners share common bond of brotherhood. I wonder if that holds true. I am sure your +1 might have felt quite relieved when those Russian submarine crew was rescued from the bottom of the ocean. Perhaps all soldiers feel that way about their counterparts in essence.

It kind of reminds me of what Roosevelt said at the start of WWII: Glad to hear the Germans are getting the Italians, guess we'll liberate Italy soon

I don't know why it reminded me of that - maybe it is just that in WWI we fought side by side the Italians and in WWII it was a different story, so maybe there was a little feeling of compassion as we were fighting them the second time around? Of course there were quite a few years between those wars.
