They're brand new coilovers from ARK, so we'll have to transfer the tophats, spacers, bumpstops, etc.

I have two jack stands, a floor jack, small socket set, but probably not all the correct sizes/extensions that we'll need

can do other things like oil changes as well if need be, I have an oil container, but not sure how many quarts it'll hold, i'll have to check

if there is enough interest, I can set this up for next Sat., my folks have a grill and whatnot too, so we can get that fired up for some food

I have an electric impact gun, might help with some tough bolts.

I just remembered that next weekend is Memorial day weekend. I'll have visitors coming into town.

That depends on whether or not you have to transfer some of the stock hardware (tophats, spacers, bumpstops, etc.) to the coilovers. The OEM setup has enough preload in the springs that the compressors are a good idea, and make it a lot easier to take apart.

Safety first, kids.
icic. assumed it was a complete coilover

I'm up for it. Go ahead and start a separate thread for it, and see who says what.

Installing the coilovers is pretty easy. Don't follow the Honda manual as they make it way harder than it has to be. For the front unbolt the top 2 bolts holding onto the top hat, the big bolt holding the shock on the bottom, and the two big bolts holding the upper control arm to the frame. You also need to unbolt the brake hose bracket from the shock. The shock should slide out. For the rear just unbolt the same three bolts on the shock. You will need to disconnect the 3 bolts holding the fuel pipe onto the body and 1 bolt inside bolding the fuel pipe onto the frame and pull the filler pipe out of the way. Thread all the bolts back on but leave them loose. Make sure to jack up each corner until the frame barely lifts off the jack stands to properly preload the suspension on that corner and retorque the front upper control arm bolts to 76lb/ft, front brake hose bolts to 16lb/ft, the lower shock bolts to 47lb/ft, upper shock bolts to 36lb/ft, and you're done!
