Help me decide..
Okay, so I used to own an s2000 a few years back. It was an 04 AP2. I sold it for something more practical since I had a baby shortly afterwards. I've been looking to get back into one again, but I can't make up my mind.
Now, some of you might think that it should be an easy decision. I would be crazy not to. I agree with you to a certain degree. The s2k is probably the most bang for you buck for a car from the factory in the way of looks, and handling. Power is meh.
I've been trying to find a fun car to drive similar to the s2000 and so far, I haven't found one. No I won't buy a Lotus Elise or Exige (ahem Pete) lol.
I'm currently driving a 04 TL 6spd and I love it. It's the best of all the worlds. It looks good, it handles as well as anyone could expect for a sedan, and its got power to get around.
So tell me guys, why an s2000 is a good move, again; other than its gods chariot.
Plus I will daily the car too so no helladopeflush bs. It will remain stock for the most part other than suspension mods.

Well, part of the reason is my wife misses having a convertible on nice days like we have had.
She is getting a new car soon that we can carry the family around in and take trips with and she said I can get an s2000 again if I wanted to.

I think the s2k personally sucks as a daily driver some days, although nice weather like now you can just drop the top and putz to work and enjoy the convertible aspect of the car. On rainy days sitting in traffic it sucks. Many people ask for others' opinions of what to do but I think it ultimately comes down to what you want. No one knows your situation exactly..
If you want a nice weather toy, buy a bike.
I personally would love to have the option NOT to daily my S2. I think I'd probably enjoy it more. The little (lol S2k pun) start to bug me after a while...wind noise, space, space, wind noise, lack of amenities like navi, climate control, space, etc...
Albeit I didn't buy the car expecting the creature comforts of a well equipped late model sedan, but not having these things make it the perfect weekend car. I fully accept many of you will disagree with me and this statement is just my opinion. Hope this helps a bit, OP.
