So i'm guessing the project S2000 does not have an engine at all? If it does have an engine what is wrong with it?

the bottom end is done....what I was told is that it had a oil leak and the owner ran it without knowing and they found pieces of metal in the oil pan...so instead of rebuilding a bottom engine..I was just thinking of replacing it

So the head is good? A short block is only the block. A long block includes the head. If I'm not mistaken, you can get a new oem short block for about $2500 shipped or maybe even less.
