Default Help..need good shop/garage to install gears etc..

Hi

I've had my S2000 for 3 years and so far have resisted the mod bug. Well since my warranty is now over I think it's time to take the plunge. However I have no idea where to go.

I'm thinking of gears (4.56) + yellowbox. I want it done expertly. I'd like to go to a shop that has done this before.

Mount Airy/Frederick/Germantown/Damascus etc..

Has anyone had gears installed around here? Also might want to get some other NA mods while I'm at it.

Thanks

Phil

I've always had my cars worked on by "Pat" at www.pro-imports.com He's very experienced and professional.

They're in the Airpark in Gaithersburg.

Good luck!

I'll give them a call. thanks.

Has any one installed gears in the area?? I don't want to go to a shop and have them fiddle around with my car if they haven't worked with one before.

Anyone ??

Im thinking of changing my gears this winter... however, if I do it im gona send out my diff and have them installed by ganley honda along with the comptech houseing. This way, all you have to do is take the pumpkin out, send it away, get the "new" one and put er in. They have a group buy on it somewhere, its like 1000-1300 bucks I think.
good luck!

I don't know if you want to send it to Ganley. HTGs aren't with Ganley anymore.

I PMed hardtopguy. He's no longer at Genley, but he still does the gear swap.

This is what he said:

Yes the 4.56 are the same ones that Rick's sells.
What you'll owe me is:
590 for the 4.56's
450 for the gear install
1000 for the core charge (you get this back when you return your diff to me)
2040 due to me (1040.00 final cost)

Other things you'll need.
yellow box for speedometer recalibration (priced around 100.00)
swap of diffs (should be no more than 200.00)

The yellow box is an easy install.

Jeff
I'd do this. But I still need a place to install the yellowbox. I can't do it. I read xvipers how-to install the yellowbox, and I'd mess it up.

will a Honda dealer do a diff swap?

Let me know, I want to pull the trigger, but want to make sure it's done correctly.
