Thumbs up HELP! please read and point me -> or <-

Hello guys and gals.

A few weeks ago i went and had my VAFC tuned by JE imports. When it was done the car felt good but weird to me cause the VTEC was now turned down to like 57** ish RPM. Now idk if its the temp or what but now in between 6&7 grand its seems like its missing or breaking up?? i was over olegs house on sat to get my fenders rolled and he listened to the car cause i thought it might need a valve job but he said no its just me thinking i am hearing things. this problem i have i am not just hearing it becasue i can feel it too and so can whoever is in the pass seat. what should i do first?? reset the VAFC, but idk how lol. Also i think its only happens at WOT and that is whats leading me to the VAFC being the prob. I just dont want to piss all that tunning money away if it could be something else.

car only has 43,*** miles on her. less than 2g with VAFC

thanks in advance to anyone who helps!!!

vafc's don't work if you mount them vertical lol. Hope you figure it out. Until then I would stay off of WOT

disconnect the battery for a min or two, then connec it back up and take the car for a spin...see what happends. (resets the computer)

Next advice would be to disable the vtec engagement modification alltogether. (look it up in the instructions for the VAFC)

Are you using a frog harness (PnP)? If so, disconnect it and reset the ECU and let it run for a little bit (20 minutes or so). See if it does the same thing, if it doesn't, it's probably the tune.

Then I'd look into your VAFC configuration....it is possible that JE leaned the car out like crazy to get the most power out of it, and now since it got colder it got even leaner so the ecu is freaking out...

...unlikely though....

i want to continue to use the VAFC for its looks and gauges on it becasue its more accurate. if i reset the comp by unplugging the battery for a few minutes will this also reset the VAF to stock??

no, it has an internal memory. I would personally disconnect the VAFC (if you are using a pnp harness) and see what happens... if it's ok then it's the tune.
