Hobby (drifting RC cars)
I have no interest in Drifting w/ real cars..but
when I first saw a kid doing RC-car drifting , I just loved it.
www.yokomousa.com has a drifting RC car kit for $380.00 and $180 for transmitter and accessories.. they look just like real D1 drifting cars..
Anyone has Drifting RC car hobby around here?
I was just wondering if this is a good hobby to have..
also wondering about life of drifting tires.. ...
my birthday is coming soon.. and my wife maybe would let me have this toy.. if I convince her that I would quit modifying my S2k..

RC cars addicting?
Try racing 5th Scale. Basically a chainsaw engine on a full independent chassis with drilled disc brakes. Some cars even have hydraulic brakes and 2 speed transmissions. The radio transmitter alone I owned was ~400.00, plus $ 100 each for the servos. The cars were about $2000, then you want tires, tuned pipes, bodies, more tires.
They would run 40+ minutes on a tank and were good for 60-70 MPH with the right gearing.
They are not little
