It only has to be damaged over 50% of value to be totaled right?
I think VA states that it has to be 65%

Well, i'll tell you right now.. It's over $8000 in damage just from lookin at it.. Probably a little bit more is required than that.. I'm sure the frame is bent also.. Having a 3rd party repair place look it over now..

i honestly think it will be totalled. i had to get a new door and get my rear quarter panel pulled when i scraped the car along the wall. after paint and labor it was 2200 worth in damage and it wasent even that severe as far as damage goes.

I think so too. Apparently the adjuster was thrown off when I told him my car has 58k miles on it. That increased the value by $2,500. But apparently they are doing the "tear down analysis" or whatever.. basically a body shop is gonna look at it and say if it's totaled or not. I know for certain the frame is bent.. I think that alone should total it.. but i guess we'll find out later today

Yeah, it happened on Langley. I effectively shut down the intersection by the fire station on may 1st for a good hour or so. lol. DURING LUNCH too.
It probably was my car that you saw. I'm the only one with MN plates and the red S2000 emblems.

Well, i finally got an update on my car... Initially, State Farm said it was repairable even though it has OVER $9,000 in damages. State farm was using their weight against the body shop to give a cheaper estimate so that my car wouldn't be considered a total loss. Well, I went through my insurance now and the adjuster said "it's totaled.. No doubt about it". So i just need to wait on the insurance portion of that to get done with and then i can collect the money for my car. Don't know if i'll be able to part it out though, I don't have any place to store it nor do i have any tools to take anything off.. Although if people are interested in anything, just let me know and we'll see if we can arrange something of some sort..
