I Need Help!
So as all of you know the our taillights aren't the easiest to smoke b/c of it's shape. I have just found this out... I need some help. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to help me install the new film that I just ordered (yes I had to throw out the other stuff b/c I messed up pretty bad.... plus after about an hour of messing with it I got frustrated and threw it out) Any fellow smoked taillight havers willing to help me out?
Before laying the film down, put some johnson's baby shampoo and water mixed in a spray bottle. Don't use too much shampoo in the mix. Spray it on the lens. Lay the sticky film on it. The shampoo mixture will help the film from sticking onto the lens. Once you have it where you want it, use a brayer (plastic squeegee) to smooth out the shampoo mixture out from underneath the film. Use a hair dryer or heat gun to dry out the rest.
Call me stupid (some people do), but I don't understand why people smoke or black out their taillights and/or headlights. It's liek they don't want anyone to know they actually have headlights and taillights. It makes about as much sense as driving at nightime with no headlights or just the parking lights on.
But hey, maybe I'm just an old fuddy-duddy.

Same reason cars come in more colors than just black.
Different strokes for different folks.
IMO, before we started going to meets and talking on boards, our cars were rarer and "uniquer". Now that we see that others have the exact same car as us, differntiation is in order. Many people mod their cars to capture this uniquness again. Many people skip mods simply because "everyone else already has that", me included. So you find a way to make yours a bit different--if for no other reason than to find your own car post meet.
But I am just a noob, so hose me if you want.
