Default im looking for an apt. in the D.C area....

I have a job in Capitol Height MD, and will be moving up there at the end of July, but i will be flying in thurs. of this week to look around for an apartment. I was looking into the Bowie, Anappolis area but would like some local input. Let me know what you can about areas to steer clear of or any areas that might be good to check out. I will only be there thru saturday, so any help would be great.

thanks. Jared.

I am moving in a few weeks. Not around that area (moving to Arlington Va), but I found that finding a place online at craigslist.org and renting from a private person was a much better deal then renting from a corp apartment place.

IF you find a good landlord.
Might want to find a month-to-month setup until you get more familiar with the area.

Im local to that area and I would definitely recommend bowie as an option, annapolis may be kind of far depending on how far you want to commute but even on a bad day I would'nt expect it being more that long depending on your work schedule...But between the two choices I would choose Bowie...Its becoming fairly crowded but so is everywhere in the immediate metropolitan area. The rent is fairly high if I remember correctly from when I was shopping around...but your paying for location location location not necessarily the ammenities... hope this helps...anymore questions feel free to ask

bowie's a good deal for the price - there are many better areas but cost of living is relatively lower
