Default I'm Lurking!

I moved 2 weeks ago and set-up my Internet Service, Cable, and Phone Service through the same provider (Cox) to receive a special discounted rate that actually saves me roughly $100 a month and I pick up digital cable. Well, you get what you pay for....It has now been 9 days since I was supposed to have an Internet connection at my house and I'm still sitting here connection-less. I'm not going to get into all the details of that.

I just wanted to say sorry to everyone in the Mid-A for not keeping my normal presence up. I am still reading through everything from work, but have refrained from posting because I only have a few minutes to goof off during the work day. Yes, I know I can post something and check it out the following day, but look at my PPD - I like to follow up my posts....and follow up....and follow up.... Hopefully I'll have my connection soon!

On the plus side: I have been able to get a ton done around the new house without S2Ki calling

Be sure to demand a credit for the down time. I have to admit that since Cox upgraded to digital here in Fairfax County their service has been a lot more reliable compared to the old analog system.

Yep - credit secured

And I've got my Internet Connection setup at the house now

I invested in a wireless router and this has got to be one of the most convenient things this geek has ever had

I am now feed up with Verizon as our Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS) as it is costing us a small fortune just for dial tone and the few calls that we make which are billed through AT&T long distance. In the past when we have had a problem with our Verizon line it has taken days to get someone out to fix the problem versus hours with Cox (and Cox will give you a credit for down time).

We received a junk mail flier today that Cox is offering phone service with $100 Cash back and $24.95 per month with unlimited long distance for two years. Does anyone have any comments either way?

Positive or negative comments are welcomed?
