Off Topic but can't you folks just buy inspection stickers w/o your car ever leaving your garage? I know I can ................

alot of the local shops here wont just toss you a state inspection & let you do it yourself. because once they do if they get busted they have no area of recourse to fight it. what they'll do is have you come into the shop and just pass you. then if they get in any trouble cause of it, they'll say your car was stock when you brought it in, you must have taken it home and changed it back.
Even still Chad...the fact is, *most* shops know that a State Trooper could stop in at any moment during the course of a State Inspection. And if a trooper witnesses a "pass" sticker being applied to an otherwise defunct vehicle, that shop will find themselves in a world of hurt with the state.

I received my front bumper today. I looked at painting the opening as some have done(Spankee), but I'm not sure how tht would look.
Again, getting rid of those side pimples is Don't ask, 'cause I'm not tellin'!

I understand, and that is exactly how it is SUPPOSED to work here in PA.
I failed at adding any humor to the thread. Sorry.
I doubt you'll ever see me in court do to my inspection stickers. Plural because we have emissions also.
That said, if I was in a position to remove my sidemarkers, the yearly state inspection would not sway my decision.
