Default Insuring wheels?

sooo, since I got the Volks, I'm debating whether or not I should call Nationwide and let them know...I'm sure my premium would raise a bit but I think in the long run, it may be worth it...

what do you guys think? have you guys with nice wheels insured yours?

I would certainly let them know...you'd be amazed at how little it may actually raise your premium. Don't take a chance if you really think someone may steal 'em...and the fact that they are Volks...well...

I'd do it. Of course, you could always call them and tell them you are thinking of getting these wheels, and you want to know how it will affect your premium...

Ill tell you what i did. Once i got the AEM, Volks, and VTSC, along with the HT and Mugen Wing, i asked Pregressive to up my comprehensive coverage. They said they could go up to 5k in coverage. Well there is almost the supercharger. So i asked to do a custom plan to cover a specific amount. To up my insurance to cover 25k worth of insurance(including the cost of the car) it would of been $90 more every six months. So look into it. Though i recently changed plans so my wheels are F'd.

I would say insure it if its not much. I had Buddy Club Limited SF challenge on my Prelude and it got stolen. Progressive covered $1000 (not insured actually) but my deductible was $500 and the wheels cost $1300

If they we're Volks I would be deeper in the hole to get them replaced

i have state farm and so far they've covered my hood, trunk, and j's wing when they were stolen, and front bumper when i made a no-fault claim. premium hasn't gone up and i never claimed any of them before the incidents.

you know why? because State Farm is THe TITS! Ive never seen them not ever pay someones damages or theft whether it was 5k in aftermarket or 20k in aftermarket stuff and I used to work there and that my friends is why im never leaving them until they kick me out
