I went to jail for 100 in a 65 when i was in highschool. I had a calibration the day after, and they threw it out of court. Got 2 days in jail, 1000 fine, 6 months no licence, and driving school..... And that was with a lawyer.

Ouch! Good luck in court. Hope neither the cop or judge have seen your "airborne" pics!

from my reckless ticket encounter a few years ago (79 in a 55) i went in, no laywer, pleaded no contest, and the judge reduced it to speeding (71 in a 55) paid something like 150 fine + 60 court costs, and was on my way.

Okay... heres the OFFICIAL 411...
i was sick of not knowing 100% for sure.. so i walked up to a cop today and just asked.

You can ask the cop to show you the radar.. however he doesnt "HAVE TO" show it to you. and the officer has seen in court people state, the officer didnt show me the radar & the judge merely said, so?!?
basically overall... it aint gonna get you out of a ticket.

sorry for the bad news

Yea I had to chime in here once again,... VA certified police officers do not HAVE to show you the speed they clocked you at. That info incorrect. When I was with the police department, I did nothave to show them anything inregards to the violation. That is for court. Now if you all want to go through the trouble and write things on the citation when the officer asks you to sign it, that's up to you... it only angers the officer even more and he/she may write in their notes section that you were "uncoopoerative" Now how is a judge going to react when he/she hears that a motorist was uncooperative when given the ticket. Trust me, it's better to bite the bullet and save it for court if you want to battle it out.

LOL.. if you want to be 100% sure next time.. I'll be more than happy to repeat myself..
