If a split happens, I think MD people will either (a) just post in the VA forum or (b) just disappear off the forum.
Are you saying that MD'ers are incapable of glancing through two different regional forums? I know several that frequent the DelVal forums for looksees. With that argument, I disagree with you and say that Marylanders are site-savvy enough to view more than one forum.

I just wish there were more people like WRS2K and Steve C. I enjoy reading their posts. Both are truthful in their responses and substantive.

Nevermind,
this, I will leave then.
You say you wish more people were truthful, yet get offended when someone is just that. Thin skin, my friend.

Getting a high PPD is not necessarily a sign of being a good and contributing community member. I do not give much credence to those who have a 15+ ppd and have been on the board less than a year.
Lastly, people's priorities change. What folks want out of the Mid-A changes. Some changes are accelerated by the actions of others.

I propose the line to include NoVA with DC and Maryland. Everything south of Fredericksburg would be clumped with the rest of Virginia.
I'm not saying that folks shouldn't attend events outside their region... in fact, I encourage folks to get out of the Mid-A and see what others are doing- DelVal, Carolinas, etc.

We still hangout with both the SoVA and PA people. Just recently we did a BBQ in Seneca State Park in Maryland and people came from both SoVA and PA. Then we did a Kings Dominion meet where the SoVA people came up again, and now we're planning a Virginia Beach meet with the SoVA people where people are coming from the Carolinas, PA, and the NY/NJ area.
Anyways, good idea Skip

everyone.
