Default Let's Shoot Guns!

I know this is probably a sensitive subject for some, but I rather enjoy shooting guns in a safe controlled environment, such as an indoor shooting range.

I would like to organize some of my fellow S2K-ers that also share a passion for power and finely crafted mechanical things... like the S2000... or a gun

So... There is an indoor range in Montgomery County (Rockville: www.gilbertindoorrange.com) and I'm sure there are plenty in VA. And quite possibly cheaper in VA, too... First time at this place will run you about $80, most likely. Montogomery County has many restrictions (buy ammo and targets there) but you can rent guns (including full-auto for those inclined).

So, here, there, anywhere. Let's tally up and set out to enjoy some target practice. Or if some of us have a lot of land and plinking is an option, I'd be very interested...

Sounds good - I'm in!

Don't know why it would be sensitive, unless you get hit by a stray!?

Just perusing my Constitution over here, and....

Damn...$80? How 'bout we go to the NRA range in Fairfax? It is supossedly the most advanced indoor range in the US. They have cheap range ammo there, and it only costs $12 last time I went.

Oh, I have a

$80 does sound expensive. Last time I went to Blude Ridge Arsenal in Chantilly I believe it was under $20.

NRA range in FF VA is the best in this area.. Blue ridge arsenal second..

Nothing beats going on someones farm to shoot but I would only do it with people I know very well and are safe with guns..

I'll bring my bazooka gun. Do they allow those?

I wouldn't mind going to a local range......

Yes, $80 is expensive... It's Montgomery County, afterall... I'm guessing you don't need to be a 'member' to go to the NRA or Blue Ridge ranges? That sounds a whole lot more reasonable.

Moonpie... Love the P239... I'm leaning towards that myself (or the H&K USP 40)

And I guess I thought it might be a sensitive subject to some because I used to work in a very liberal anti-gun office... bah!

Ok, now someone suggest a time to go to the NRA range...
