Default Lip Polishing?

Sorry for a noob question, but if I get all black wheels, is it possible to get the lips polished? If so how much might it cost to get 4 wheel lips polished, and are there any good shops in the Northern Virginia area that you guys know of? Also if it is possible, does doing this impact the duribility or quality or whatever of the wheel at all?

thanks to any replys

Oh and since I made a thread, I have another quick question. When you buy aftermarket wheels do you need to get aftermarket lugs too? I read this somewere but have never heard it before

Call Evolution..... You can get black wheels with a polished lip from many aftermaket wheel makers....Volk is a popular choice. LE37T, look em up. Works along with SSR SP1's are a popular pick.

As far as lugs go most places you order wheels from reccomend you get aftermarket lugs, I really don't know if you can use stock lugs with aftermarket wheels. I don't know anyone who has tried, they all just buy new ones anyways. lol

A lot of aftermarket wheels are tapered around the lug area, so you need to get thinner "tuner" lugs for them to fit properly. With most of these wheels you CAN use your stock lug nuts, but they'll scratch up your rim around the lug area, and might not fit as well either.

You definetly want to use "tuner lugs" with aftermarket wheels, using the stock acorn nuts is not recommended and can do damage to the wheels.

Shameless plug: I happen to have a set of tuner lugs and wheel locks for sale if you need them
