Looking for a good stand up kinda Dealership
Well I just read "Rate DC Area Service Departments Thread" https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...pic=32776&st=0 that was in the Mid-A links section.... However, after going through all 14 pages, much of that info is either dated or about MD.
Here's my situation. I bought MY02 a little over a month ago. I checked the roof meticulously, due to finding another MY02 at a different dealership with a wear hole in it. The S I purchased had 12500 on the clock and the roof was totally fine. Well one month and 3000 miles later, the top has begun to wear. It also dosen't open all the way every time. I think this is due to the elastic being warn out and not pulling one of the ribs all the way back to open properly...(This is a TSB but only for MY00-01) I think that because the frame is not opening correctly it is causing the wear on the roof. I just can't believe the amount of wear that has taken place over the 3000 miles. If this wear is being cause because of mechanical failure of the frame it should be covered under warranty.
I bought the car as a certified honda. I have also read all the threads about the top being a wear item and is not often replaced other than by "Good Faith" efforts on the dealerships part. My car has 15k on it and that is very premature wear. Since i still have a warranty I want to see if i can get this fixed/top replaced/or reinforced since it has not warn all the way through. I am just really upset that I have to go through this one month after making sure the S I bought didn't have top wear. I know its inevitiable, but I was expecting this a long way down the road, not one month later.
Topping things off, my drivers side window started not working with the top down switch yesterday. TSB01-008 So that will need to be fixed as well. I registered with ownerlink through honda's webpage and found out that the Spark plug recall which does apply to my car was never done (How was it sold as a certified honda!).
So all in all, I just wanted to get some up to date references on which Honda dealer I should take my S to. I live in Fairfax right by 50 and 66. Just looking for a good stand up dealership that is also Familiar with the S2000 TSBs.
Thanks for the help. And Sorry its so long, Im just frustrated.
