Default Creaky soft-top

Done about 1200 miles now and recently I've noticed a creaking noise, almost like a clicking, when the soft-top is up. It stops if I push the roof forward but comes back when I let go.

Short of driving around pushing the roof forward, can anyone think of what else it might be? Should I take it to the dealer to look at?

Thanks for your help,

Paul.

I had this problem when I picked my car up - the dealer did the white lithium grease thing. Have a search as there is plenty of info on it and sorts the problem

Mine did this as a result of worn strikers @ 12k miles. A known issue on the older cars. Sometimes the strikers work lose and give the same effect. With the roof down see if there is any play in the strikers at the top of the A post.

Either way exercise your warranty!

If it's a new car it probably just needs adjusting.
