Default Looking for possible member

Few weeks ago I had a white s2k tailgating me. Only thing I know is it was in white with modified exhaust. There was a Acura RSX following him closely and I'm assuming they were together. When the owner of the S2k went finally went around me in the fast lane I look over to admire his car and see he is giving me the thumbs down....hahaha. Hmp I've always like S2k's too....

Only reason I could figure is because I was driving a Subaru WRX....

Anyway there is a lot of sporting events in my area I was hoping maybe we could meet up and see how my modified WRX stacks up against your modified s2k....

I cant race on the street due to the nature of my job...but I'd be willing to pay entrance fees if you can beat me in an event....even autox...

Hopefully the owner gets to see this. I rarely get to race people that REALLY want to beat. Its always friends/family or whatever. Occasionally the random person that approaches me at the drag strip, but thats rare...

Anyway Take care all....This is just for shits and grins of course, all in good fun...

-Ryan

No no...not trying to make it sound like a hostile thing. He tailgated me, drove around me dangerously then gave me the thumbs down....I'm over all that little BS...I just want to race someone thats a good match and I feel I have a reason to beat....hahaha

Take care...

Ryan, why don't you come out to the March 30th auto-x with capital driving club Capital Driving Club for some friendly competition. I will gladly wax you in your WRX And probably several others I don't know how many people are going to want to drag race you as most lightly modified S2K's aren't exactly the straight line, race from a dig type of car. But how terribly difficult is it to launch a turbo charged WRX and run through the gears. Auto-x might put some more emphasis on driver skill Not to say anyone can drag race and be good I know there some turbocharged S2K's out there that would give a run for your money on a strip, but I will let those guys speak up.

It's nice to know there are people like you that avoid racing on the street and would sooner do the safe thing.

You'll be surprised what a properly modified 3000 lbs brick can do with the right mods with a decent driver. I think my car is modified well enough to make it a race against drivers with stock-ish S2k's.....maybe even more modified. I generally track with other Subaru's and stock STI even with good drivers are easy times to beat....

I'd LOVE to see a turbocharged s2k at the strip just to see what it can do.....

So whats the deal with this Capital Driving Club? Can I just show up in Bowie and compete or is it going to be members only? Not that I mind watching....

Whats the track like is race fuel going to be available?

Thanks for the link....looks like good fun...

[QUOTE=FISH22,Feb 16 2008, 01:56 PM] They just might be on this site. The majority of S2000 owners I know in the Mid-A are some really cool, mature people. BTW, the whole "I'll bring some WRX's to race your S2k's"

Well aware, I have had 2 DSM's in my past and I know how easy it is to make a an AWD turbo car go fast.

We have a nice variety of track going S2K's as well, but racing on a track isn't quite as safe as auto-xing if you are out there to compete. Either way I know some of the track junkies keep track of their lap times and one of them might have placed 1st at a recent Red Line Time Attack.

CDC is open to anyone that wishes to sign up. The link i posted earlier has all the info on registering. But certainly you would register for the first event instead of just watching the first time around. Race fuel is not available at an auto-x. But come out and show us S2K's whats up, sounds like you are pretty confident in your ability and car.
