Lay on my back, pull my heels to my butt, use right hand to help pull my knees to the right, hold 30 seconds, use left hand to pull my knees to the left, hold 30 seconds, and repeat for several minutes.
Thanks, I'll give that a try starting tonight. When you say pull your knees to the right; do you move both knees at the same time, first right then left?

That was you... I saw you briefly in the crowd man, but had my doubts since it had been a while. Sorry for not saying hello...
Haha, you should have stopped. On Sunday I went to the Tysons Corner Galleria and saw someone I knew... the friend I was with got mad because whenever I go anywhere I always see someone I know, but they don't... even in their home town! lol

& consider seeing a Chiropractor. Mine is a real life saver & I have only had to see him 2 times in about 2 years so it is not some scam...
Well, it's only been hurting for 1.5 weeks now.. but my PCP told me to give them a call if it doesn't get better and we'll look into physical therapy.

Hmm. So a friend of mine from work just mentioned that he occasionally gets lower back pains... but they aren't, he said it's actually kidneys. I pointed to where it was on my back and he said, "Yeaup, that's your kidneys."

Interesting... I'm going to try to drink a lot of cranberry juice, see what happens!

Yes, both left or both right. Starting left or right doesn't matter. You should feel slight pressure as you stretch the muscle and lower spine. A little pain is even healthy but if it really hurts to do it, stop immediately.

The idea is to keep the majority of your back flat on the floor while twisting at the hips and lower back.

Feet need to maintain a flat position against your butt?

dude - Chiropractor. It is like physical therapy except packed into 1 punch - he/she should recommend specific exercises for you after the session.

Not necessarily. Bring the up as far as you can and let them rotate left and right with the rest of your lower body. They don't have to stay flat on the floor.
