In my OP I mentioned The Bruised Banana has over 190,000 miles . Agree on the recommendation...except that my consumption is such that I'd hate to throw the higher $$$ away on synth. But I might try a heavier weight in dino. Thanks.

Dave,

I, too, have noticed a marked increase in the amount of oil I top off with between changes (going on 1.5-2 qts.!), so I think it's time to consider having the engine revamped. I'm at 120k, so I think she's given me a good life... no other issues, just extra oil burning.

you using Moble 1?


If so, switch to something else. The Havoline GF4 10w-30 is a nice dino oil.
