Default MD emissions with AEM EMS

Hey guys,
I am planning on boosting my car so I am also planning on upgrading my fuel management system. As of right now I have a GREDDY EMANAGE ULTIMATE. My question to my fellow MD owners is how do you pass emissions? Do you swap out the ecu before you go? From my understanding the aem ems throws a CEL because it is not OBD2 compatable, correct? Please include as much info as possible.

Thanks in advance,
Luis

I have the AP2 Greddy kit. You don't have to swap out the Greddy Emanage Ult when testing. I used to have issues with emissions before but after i got it tuned everything was fine after that.

About the AEM EMS, I heard from some people that there is some sort of "settings" inside the software that would make your emissions "set" and would not cause you to fail.. (but im not sure on the that..)

Goodluck bro!

You won't get a CEL with the AEM, but you also won't return any ODB codes, which is why you'll fail emissions with it.

I'm not sure what people around here do.

I run AEM series 2 and have no problem passing emissions. There are multiple ways to go about it, none of which are too dificult. PM me and i can give you some tips!
