Man you guys don't like to accept change do you? I think the new site is great. You know I'm a and am on here all day long so I have gotten use to it. Alot of things from day one have come into place since then... they are doing their best to work on it and I think it is already better than V3 and even looks alot better. There's so many new things. And the majority of everything will be back in place once they are finished.

Come on guys give it a chance. They had to change for a reason and there's only so many people that can devote enough time to fixing it. I give them a million s b/c I think its great and I appreciate the work they do for us

But in the end I believe people are just busy. The site does get slow at times but I mean come on we are on here 24 x 7, they have to work on it at some point when we're all on here... it will get faster and it will get better..

If any of you are in the IT field, you will know that any migration invovling this much data requires a lot of time and man hours. With a small group working on such a big migration, the upgrade will take a while to fully complete. In the meantime, there will be bugs and performance issues.

As for the user friendliness, I think it is still there. Just because we are used to something, and it changes, doen't mean it isn't user friendly. It took me a little time to figure out a few things, such as:

How you can't go to the last post in multiple page threads from the "MyS2K" page. I figured out that if you click the small blue arrow icon to the left of a thread, it will take you to the last unread post.

SweetJ and I were also complaining that you cant see when a post was originally posted, only the most recent post time (very important in the F/S section). There is a rollover effect on the topic link that shows this info.

They also just got the info working under the avatar of where people are from and the type of S2 they drive.

This will take time and will eventually fall into place. The usability and performance will increase with time (esp. once you get used to the site).

They do call it an upgrade for a reason.....

^ I'm in IT...I made the same points elsewhere. Also, many of the changes are behind the scenes, so I don't think peeps really appreciate how challenging and time consuming an upgrade is. I'm just glad to have the site back!

V4 is too slow, too hard to navigate and generally much more crappy than V3. I hope it gets better but I have to come to terms with the fact that it'll never be V3

So the PPD drop begins...
I feel v4 is much faster, more than likely due to code optimization; however, it is much much harder to navigate. The font and color layout of the board is horrible and hard to read.

I agree the site is faster in some cases, but can get bogged down at times. This is just part of the performance issues with the upgrade.

As for the font, color, and layout, to each their own. I think this is actually a little better than before. Either way, you will see in the general options menu on the left, there is a skins and language link. There is only the S2Ki default skin for now, but I am assuming there will be more to come.

This thread has certainly slowed down since Version 4 came online
Dude, I agree with the assessment, but I actually blame YOU.

You were the post whore of the Mid-A... North and South...you slowed down, you stopped causing chaos and havoc on this thread. I mean, what the fcuk Alex, you need to get your Sheeooottt together and start posting controversial things, start teasing people like no one else, keep interesting conversation flowing, plan interesting things to do... I am serious too, GET TO FCUKING WORK ON POSTING...

Damn, what kind of leader are you? Get to work dude.

My theory, for what it's worth, is that with the extended downtime of the site, some folks got out of the habit of hitting the site. One of the dangers of taking down a site like this is that you show folks that they can actually survive without it.

Plus lack of interest.
