Nice of you guys to make a banner yourself

Jake, who does not live here, was kind enough to do this for us for free. I think it is pretty cool and way better than the advertisements. Each of you is welcome to build a 728 x 90 Pixels (in .jpeg or .gif format) banner and we'll run it at the top. Until you make one yourself or find someone to do it, don't complain!
Whoa, I never said I didn't appreciate the effort. Let's not get defensive.

I only expressed my opinion and stated that it was only my opinion. I never said it looked like crap or anything like that(because it doesn't). When I(and my co-workers) looked at it, it didn't conjure up a mental image of what we think of the Mid-Atlantic region. Nothing more. Nothing less.

My opinion is based on my life experience. If anyone has lived 13 years in the desert, then they would probably agree with me. An opinion is neither right or wrong. To some, the banner may perfectly depict their perception of this region. I guess when we all look at a painting, we should have the same interpretation. Is that what you're saying?

Do we all agree on how folks modify their cars? Hell no!!! This is no different, Alex and Jake.

I really like this one. Especially since it looks like it's our region. It's very nice.

I wasn't criticizing the effort either...I really appreciate it. I merely said I preferred blue03s2k's design, especially the motion one.

Skip,

Sorry - that wasn't a defensive post, but I can see how it would come off that way. It is difficult to please everyone (as you know all too well), and it seems like every time someone tries to do something nice (or possibly better) people tend to get bent out of shape.

I can see how the orange in our current banner might make one think of a West Coast sunset or even the desert - what if it were a light blue?

Blue,

I'm still looking forward to the finished project. Remember that it has to be 728 x 90 in .jpeg or .gif format

I think I woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning and knowing that I was going to spend the morning at the City Treasurer's Office & DMV (which I am just getting back from ) didn't help my mood either - I apologize.

Ok, glad the air is cleared(or at least until I do tequila, beer, and wings again!). And yes, Alex, you are dead on- some folks are never happy!

Jake, I do appreciate the effort even though I can't appreciate it, because I have no idea what it entails. Same to you, Blue.

I do this as a living..... so to me its fairly simple... but I'm sure if I showed you how it worked it would look way harder than it is
