I have a Tsuchinoko - two modifications to make it work - cut the hood (there are some threads with pics, I installed mine just before winter, so the car is now in the garage ) and cutting/removing the stock plastic radiator cover - it's the black plastic shield around the hood-latch. You could cut it, but I found that the be a real PITA, so I just ripped the whole thing out. Well, noted exactly ripped, there are these weird pop-up pins that hold it in. Regardless, some of it needs to come out for the snorkel to be able to get down to the front bumper scoop.

It just gives me an excuse to buy a CF radiator cover to my wife... but it's find for now (less diversion of air to the radiator).

you could cut the hood to make the intake fit.......or you could just buy the J's hood that has the "hump" built into the hood for the intake.

you have to cut the bottom skin of the hood, and drill a pair of HOLES. It did take a while.

since you lost the bet,

i have my used one for sale
