With many of the newer cars coming out with DRL designs particular to each model, and the only consistent alternative for the AP2 being to fill in the faux small air scoops, I have an idea that would hopefully be a) unique, b) awesome/desirable on an AP2. However, modification to the front bumper area would be needed, at least to gently heat and depress along a certain narrow area, perhaps even to trace out a path for a narrow cut, if needed, to recess some or all of the lighted path.

I could do a bit of a mold (negative impression) off my AP2 front end, then fill it in to make a positive replica of the shape for initial design purposes, but eventually I would want to attempt an install on the OEM molded material. Heating/cutting of the material could be practiced on a damaged AP1 front end so that when the time came to take similar action on my AP2, I am much less likely to 'OOPS!' If I had a damaged AP2 front end, then the whole design could be tried, 'dress rehearsal', before the first change to our S.

Great idea. S2k's have been popping up everywhere now in SOMD. I'm around the Great Mills area. I'll keep an eye out for you guys.

Just saw a GPW AP2 last night around 6:15 on Rt.4 in PF near the fire house. I believe she was a "vintage owner" so I'd be interested in seeing if she's on the forums. The car looked really great in its oem condition. I probably looked like this ->

I can go for days or even a few weeks without seeing another S ... I guess it's feast or famine because today I saw three:

NFR just after 7am on '4', Upper Marlboro

Sazuka about 5:45p on '4', near Huntingtown

Silver AP2 just after 6pm at Exxon in PF

That could be my whole September allotment of sightings in one day.

I saw that silver ap2 also. He's the 20 something y/o with the roll bars. I think he's near st Leonard road where that house with the nice red barn and fence sits on the corner. Just south of the post office. I'm not sure what that street is called.

What great weather Friday evening! (Looks like Saturday too.) We were out driving in the south half of Calvert County just because it was so nice. You know how many other S's we saw? Zero. Other top open convertibles? One Boxster, one Mustang.

That's all?
