Moving to Baltimore.
I live right in the heart of baltimore as well. (right by Johns Hopkins Homewood Campus). I drive down russell street every day and basicaly by where you are moving into. I DD my S in the spring/summer/fall so if I see another S on my morning or evening commute i'll do my usual wave unless i'm pissed off at the baltimore drivers in the morning
welcome! its an active community.

I wasn't that concerned for my personal safety. More concerned about bringing the car down / parking it on the street. Driveways are prevalent in the boonies.
Thanks all for the warm welcome!

THIS. people cannot drive/park in baltimore for the most part. expect people cutting you off, not using a blinker, and doing just stupid shit. Trust me the S an handle it better than any cars, as the agility is awesome. never been in an accident down here in the S (knock on wood)
If you can, get a garage spot, or an outside parking spot or something.
Yeah I don't know if I will have it down there all the time. Gonna feel things out and but we'll be bringing my girlfriend's Type S for the most part otherwise until I get a feel for the neighborhood.
Appreciate the welcome. I'll have to get to a meet ASAP (after August 1st).

I lived in Baltimore area my whole life. Best part of MD is everything is close. Not sure what you like to do but DC/Baltimore is a lot of fun during weekends.
I also wouldn't lower your car too much if your s2 is DD in Baltimore. Well.... Baltimore is ~~~~~~ alright... but DC
BTW good luck to your gf's education!!!!
Thanks for the tips. The car is still stock (I know, shocker).
I really like how close everything is in the Baltimore area. We have a friend moving to DC as well around the same time so I assume we will be getting to know both areas.

Welcome! I live north of Baltimore in Towson, but I often come down to the city on the weekends to go out drinking, see an Os game or hang out with friends. Driving in the city with the S isn't bad at all. As people have said, if your neighborhood has a parking lot or garage, that's awesome. Some do. I don't know if you know, but downtown is going to be the home to an indycar race in September, that'll be so cool to see. We're a social bunch, I think, most Ss that I pass exchange waves with me and most are down to get together and hang out, go for a cruise or whatever.
