Default Moving to DC

Just would like to let people know I will be new to the area. I will be moving there the weekend before labor day. I will not bring the S2000 at first until I find a nice area to live. I will instead be driving a white EG hatch. If anyone knows some of the nice parts of town feel free to chime in.

Justin

I will be working in Downtown DC. Isn't DC divided up into north, south, east and west. I will probably just stay in an Extended stay for a month until I can look around.

Cool. Good luck with your move. Just stay away from S.E. D.C It's pretty rough. But I lived in Capitol Heights, MD and later moved with my aunt to Alexandria. I never Drove my car because the metro can practically take you anywhere you want to go. Plus the traffic is Northern VA/D.C. area is a P.I.T.A. I worked on Capitol Hill and Pentagon City. So go Figure.

Depending on what kind of budget you are looking at, if you are working in DC and don't want to deal with the traffic during rush hour there are plenty of apartments in the Arlington area that are only a few Metro stop away from DC.

^ Yes, good idea to do a temp stay and check out different places. I work downtown, also, near the Capitol. Arlington is great (I live in Rosslyn) but expensive. There are lots of options. Good luck. The local guys can give you a better idea of where to rent near a Metro stop. You definitely want to Metro/carpool downtown to work, unless your company pays for parking.
