Moving to DC and need some advice!
Sunrise valley - does your profession has anything to do with the telecom industry?
Welcome to the area, you will be just in time for the infamous Rick's annual Fall Colors tour, this year back to Baltimore, MD. As for winter, nothing you can't get by with a set of all seasons or even Bridgestone Blizzaks.

Welcome George! Reston is a great place to live! Where by the mall are you looking? I live in Sterling so if I can help you out at all please let me know. Your commute shouldn't be to bad. My dad drives to Reston every day (NEXTEL) right by where you will be working. It normally takes him about 30minutes around 7-7:30am. You will notice a difference in traffic when school is out...probably 10-15minute less - difference at that time of the morning.
I garage my S, but yours should be just find. I don't think we'll get another winter like we had this year, but you never know! I also use mine as a daily driver so I'm not sure what I will be doing come winter...maybe a new set of tires...
There are some great roads around so you will definitely have some fun! Let us know how we can help!

Congrats on moving into the area! I'm in Herndon, and might be able to suggest some back roads if you have problems with traffic during the week.
We have a small crew of S2000's in the area, and there was buzz about meeting up for drinks every once and a while, we'll see if we can get the crew back together.
But, Sterling is a nice area. Close to Leesburg, and those fun 'country' roads.

The S is my only car as well, and I don't have a garage either. You'll definitely want a set of tires for the winter months, even if you don't plan on driving in snow. The S02's are pretty lousy once the temperature drops below about 50F, even on dry roads. With the right tires, the car handles snow just fine, as long as it doesn't come up above the chin. I just got an extra set of OEM rims (lot of people sell theirs) and mounted snows on them. Change wheels once in the fall, then again in the spring.
Welcome!

Hehehe, yeah, my S was tucked up in the parking area above Continental. We should get together for a meet or something sometime soon - shame I'm out of town this weekend, then go to OBX next weekend for a week of vacation(!).
We'll figure something out, but by all means, don't wait for me to be around!
