Default Moving to MD!

It looks like I will be moving from the Delval group to Mid-A in the near future, but I am not sure where exactly to live. My job will be just south of the Inner Harbor along I95. I looked at a couple places in Towson, Pikesville, and Cockeysville. I liked all of these areas except for the fact that I will have to travel around 695 everyday through the shitty traffic, so I am wondering if there are any nice areas south of Baltimore that would be better? I figured you guys would be the best people to ask. Any thoughts

I've never lived in Baltimore City, but I've heard "the block" is a pretty good place to live close by, especially if you're single and have lots of dollar bills on hand.

Hey man, long time no talk since the DSM days. If you are partial to the "northern" parts of Baltimore (Cockeysville, Towson, etc) you don't really have to drive all the way around the city. You can just hit 83 right into the city , then shoot out the other end to 95. I've done it plenty of times to miss rush hour on 695. Where exactly is your job located?

Columbia and surrounding areas are nice. If you want a little different, live in Annapolis. Ellicott City isn't bad either in the historic area. All those areas are a little pricey though. But that's the way this area is.

I live right next to UMBC and so does Mani. I love the area and they have very good prices. I live off 195 exit used for BWI. PM me if you're interested in more info.

It's on Wicomico St...I was figuring that going down 83 and through the city would be even worse than going around 695? I'm not sure if I'm partial to the northern areas, I'm just more familiar with them. DSM4LIFE?

I'm going to have a roommate who also just got a job in the same area. We are both 25 and single so we want to live in an area where we can easily meet people. We are looking at apts in the $1000 - 1300 range. I really dont want to live in the city...i'm sure it wouldnt be very nice to the S. Columbia sounds like a nice area. How is the social life there?
