I agree with the above... Dont rent. its a total waste of money. Save for a downpayment and buy a condo. You can get ur money back plus equity in a few years and you can borrow against that. The way prices of homes and stuff are going up around here, u can make out like a bandit if u are in the right area. Things to think about thoough is make sure u should have at least 5000 bux saved in reserve for misfortunes like car breakdown(which always happens when you dont have money) and any other emergency expenses.. KNow that you might not go out and party at the club as much anymore cuz u have more responsiblities. Last thing, if u dont have a gurlfriend, dont get one when you first move in cuz relationships cost money too

Have you thought about WHERE you will park the car?
I kept mine under a covercraft weathershield for a good year or so that's not really an issue unless he doesn't live in a safe area

Also, when you get your power turned on you can request a plan where they average out the last six months of power use so your bill will stay consistent. It'll change a little every six months but for the most part you'll know what to expect.
that's called budget billing.

Initial hook-up fees when you first move in are awfull. Phone, Cable, and sometimes if you have no credit built up with the company, for example electric company, they may have you pay a deposit to make sure you will pay your montly bill.
