My S finally has a bedroom of its very own!
We close on the 22nd! Had the final walkthrough today and the place looks great!
And the rest of the house (4 bedrooms, 3500 sq. feet)...
I'm looking forward to having the local S2000 folks over one evening soon for a cookout! (I'm getting a new 6-burner grill to go with the house!)

6-burner grill??? holy crap. dinner at your house every night.
I think i seen those house before. how is it like having the garage detached from the house? from the picture, it looks like you get another room on the second level of the garage?

Yup! The grass has been there for a couple of weeks now, actually.
We were originally supposed to have been all moved in by today, but a few weeks back we discovered that they had put the wrong hard wood floor down on the first floor, so they had to pull everything up and start over again. That cost us a week and a half.
I think living with a detached garage is actually a better deal, since it increases the living space in your house without increasing the footprint of the house itself. The area above the garage can, indeed, be finished as an apartment if we so choose in the future, but for now it's going to be our attic because the third floor of the house is finished and will be our office.
The space between the garage door and the back door is only about 6 feet, and it's a straight line, so we could easily build a covered walkway if we wanted, but we don't have a tendency to bring home groceries in the rain as it is.

Nice house. Wish I could get something like that in Arlington. I would actually be happy just with your garage. What's that on top a spare bedroom/apt style or just a storage?
Either way, very nice. Congrats.
