Default need inspection help

I finally got around to having my car inspected in MD and they told me it wouldn't pass because I have an aftermarket exhaust and my wheels stick out too far The front wheels line up exactly with the fender and the back wheels stick out about 2mm just barily past the fender. I bought the car with both of these things and do not have the stock parts

So I desparatly need help because my temp tags are going to expire at the beginning of Jan.

So if anyone knows a place or has a hookup that will pass me please PM me, otherwise

I need to either borrow or trade my exhaust and wheels for stock ones.

I have an invidia exhaust with Titanium tips and 18" OZ racing superleggeras in gunmetal.

Thanks very much for any help you guys can give me

Yikes - good luck, pal - there must be something all the modded folk do to pass the inspection...

Maybe try taking it to a different station? Some are probably sticker than others.

Can you still put the stock wheels back on or do you not have them anymore?

Have you tried going to another inspection station? Another idea is to call DMV and tell them you've been out of town on business then for the holidays so you haven't had time to do get it inspected and you need more time.

I'm willing to bet they'll either give you an extension or they'll give you another temp plate.

it really sucks how some inspection stations are so much harder then others. I got mine done in norfolk last year and it took at least 2 hours of them taking my car apart. Took it back home this year and it took no more then 2 minutes inspection and 2 minutes to put the new sticker on. Do they actually test emissions in MD, or just see that your exhaust is aftermarket?

Thanks for the PM swift, you s2k guys are great I just spoke with my brother and he knows a shop that passed his RX-7 with an N1, so I am going to stop by there tomorrow to see what they say.

The place I went to just looked at the car and said it wouldn't pass because the exhaust wasn't OEM.
