Does anyone know member Grease Monkey? Real name David Kline from the Chesapeake VA area? I purchased these wheels:

From him on May 19th, and too date I only have the fronts with the wrong size tires. He explained he had some difficulties due to traveling for work in getting everything squared away and asked that I wait for him to get home to take care of things himself. He had been unresponsive at best through the process but seemed to be trying to do the right thing so I agreed. As of June 16th he said the wheels were being shipped the next day. I received notification that UPS slips had been created, but nothing ever shipped. on June 23rd he said the tires had come in and they would be shipped that afternoon, again no shipping info or anything. On June 30th after multiple emails from me he said the wheels would be at my home on Thursday and he would get me shipping info later that afternoon.

Well guess what, nothing ever showed up and I never received any shipping info. I have emailed and messaged him several times now with no response. At this point because I was maybe a bit to trusting I can no longer file a case through paypal, and I'm stuck with two front wheels that need tires, wrong size and one has a nail in it, and no rears..oh and I'm out $2700 which makes it all even better.

I have multiple emails and messages detailing the agreement we had, and I hate airing this out, but really either need to get the rear wheels shipped or get my money back.

Any help you guys can provide would be huge.

Scammer bump...perfectly timed so that after the 45 day paypal claims window...hopefully American Express will help me get my $2700 back.

 

BaZurk is a regular here. Maybe he will recognize the guy and help you both out. That's a recognizable car, shouldn't be too hard.

Sorry to hear about the trouble you've had. Hopefully it can get squared away with either Amex or Grease Monkey

 

I don't recognize the SN or the car. I can't see the wheels also because he has removed his posting. Never let the time to make a paypal claim expire. Sorry to see this happen. Hopefully you can talk to the credit card company and you should definitely report this to the site Mods so they can take the necessary actions to assist you and protect other members.

 

Thanks guys. I posted a note in the seller feedback forum and we are now exchanging some email. Hopefully its a misunderstanding and we can clear it up.

 

He works at the Honda dealer in Hampton. He just posted his S2000 and TSX for sale today.

well that doesn't jive with him telling me he is on vacation until Sunday and can't do anything...and doesn't make me feel warm and fuzzy. He said I would have my money back or tracking info by the end of the day Monday. I hope he comes through.

Mods are aware per my other thread, I hope it works out with out much more drama.

 

I don't know the full story but I know Dave and he's always been trustworthy with me.

I have his number, however, I am at work and cannot bring my phone into the building. Please PM me so I can remember to contact him on your behalf when I leave today.
