Default need a Sway Bar

Ive read a little about various brands but cant find very many vendors that sell them. I have yet to see one posted for sale in the forum either, so im assuming its because everyone loves theirs. Where are some good places to buy them? Any complaints or praises? Id like to do some handling mods to keep me from slidding so much when i get a heavy foot. This is my first RWD car and I am still not completly confident wtih it.

Plans thus far
Spoon STB
Any Sway Bar
X-Brace
Some springs
Intake - Comptech? Spoon Snorkel?

Please make suggestions on brands and where to buy any. If you've bought something that you wouldnt again, let me know. Im a college student wtih a limited budget, id like to do the most bang for the buck mods.

Thanks guys

Derek

All told, The Bruised Banana has:
  • Cusco upper tower shock bar (purchased this used...so dunno where to buy new). Slight improvement. But also an effective bar if you are considering a CAI such as Injen or AEM for air intake clearance.
  • Muz lower X-brace (purchased from Muz). Effective. Definite improvement. Also nice for oil changes as some x-braces can be a real PITA and flat-out get in the way during oil changes.
  • Saner 3-way adjustable front sway bar (purchased from s2ki Marketplace). Da bomb I won't disagree with Ric, but installing this Saner made my S2K stick to the road like burnt egg in the bottom of a skillet .
  • Koni Yellow shocks with KG/MM SuperSport springs (purchased these used...so dunno where to buy new -- but I thank Ric for 'em ).

I agree with Rick...x-brace before anytine else.
I recommend the speed Xbrace. GREAT price. The Cusco is nice, but I liked the speed better.
I have a speed STB also (if you're interested) and most of the parts for a comptechj intake.

Plenty of vendors to choose from on these items - locally (within 3 hours away from us) is Evolution.

They sell Cusco, Comptech, many different springs, and much more. I have seen Spoon items sitting in Jeff's shop before, but I've never heard him say he sells it.

For what you're trying to do Evolution would probably be a good place to start.

Muz's stuff is a bit cheaper, but the wait time can be a bear - he's in Australia.

Also local is Rick Hessel - Ricks2k.com. Rick has all kinds of stuff, but not much is name brand (unless you consider Rick to be a name brand) - if you're looking for that kind of thing.

You didn't mention exhaust in your post, but you've asked me about it before. A very decent, yet inexpensive, way to go is Spugen.

There are many more vendors out there too....AJ Racing in Canada, Tech 2 Motorsports in California, MP Tuning in Atlanta....

We can have an x-brace or strut tower brace to your doorstep in 2-4 businesses days. Swaybars take a little longer.

Does the Cusco Front lower bar do the same job as an X-brace?

Im going to call Evolution on monday and try to check some things out. Until then ill be researching a little online. Dont get too annoyed if i ask a bunch of questions. Thanks in advance.

I have the Muz underbrace. I also have the Gendron adjustable swaybar. I'm in Lynchburg right now. I'll try to post up buying info when I get home.

I believe www.smallfortuneracing.com is the site for the swaybar.
