When I got in the shower this morning I was reminded that tomorrow is
not guaranteed for anyone. I will be attending the funeral of a former
co-worker tomorrow. She was about a decade younger that I am, and she
left three children without a Mother.
Over the past two thousand one hundred and ninety days since 11 Sep 01 I
have woken up, and gone about my life. Often wondering if I have been
living on "borrowed time"? Six years ago this morning I was sitting on
a United Airlines Boeing 767 at Dulles Airport headed for Denver on my way
to Fort Hauchuca in Arizona. I remember the taxi drive to the airport that
morning gazing at the azure blue sky thinking what a beautiful day it
was for flying. As fate would have it, the 767 that I was on had a
mechanical problem with the rudder. We boarded the plane at 08:30 for a 9:00
departure as the mechanics worked on the plane. I was able to upgrade
to first class using miles and was chatting with the person seated next to
me (his name was Bob Su). The person across the aisle was on the phone
with his office asking a coworker to call his contact in Denver (as it was
too early for him to call that time zone) that his flight would be late.
Several minutes after he finished that phone call his phone ran again.
I heard him say "is that so". As he folded his mobile phone he said out
loud to no one in particular that someone had just flown a plane into the
World Trade Center. The person seated in front of me jumped up and pulled a
book listing airline flights out of his carry on bag in the overhead
compartment. He looked irritated and anxious. I remember thinking to
my self that on such a clear day the World Trade Center could not have been
an accident, unlike the cloudy foggy day back on 28 July 1945 when a B-25
bomber hit the Empire State building killing fourteen people.
Minutes later the pilot came on the intercom and ordered us off of the
plane. Not realizing the full impact of what was occurring. Bob Su
asked me if I wanted to join him at the Red Carpet Club to wait this out.
When we walked up to the reception desk. Bob asked the woman behind the
counter "what is going on"? (he meant with out delayed flight). She responded
by bursting into tears and running away. Her co-worker stepped over and
stated: "We just found out one of the planes was one of ours". Bob
asked what do you mean. She responded by directing us around the corner to
the TV. Just as we rounded the corner to view the TV CNN was showing the
video of the second plane hitting the second WTC tower. Several minutes later
we were ordered to evacuate the airport terminal.
I guess that I will never know if I was on the fifth plane, and just got
lucky that the plane never got off the ground due to the mechanical
problem................

For those of you that are naive and uninformed I would encourage you to go here
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wahhabism
Or to some other reference source that you trust and learn more about the sect that we are up against. They want to kill us. There belief system is simple. Anyone that does NOT belief what they believe is an infidel and deserves to die.
Wake up world!
