Default New ECU?

Right now im running the MY00 ECU with the MY04 Engine... Will it be benefical for me to get the new ECU or is it not neccessary? I know people with 00 engines get 02+ ECU's, but i cant find anything about the other way around. Thanks in advance.

You're probably better off with the MY00 ECU in the 2.2L engine than the MY02-03 ECU... the MY00 -01 ECU runs richer than the MY02-03 ECU which is what you want for the larger engine. If you go with the MY04+ ECU, then you'll be safest with the OEM fuel map for the 2.2L engine and the 8200rpm redline ... but performance wise, the MY00-01 ECU i prolly the best.

With the MY00 ECU you'll get a higher redline, only bad thing is you risk damaging your engine if you run it up past 8500rpms or so.
