Hi everyone,
I'm new to this site. I'm looking for people to chat to about my S. I currently reside in the DC metropolitan area. I've had my 2001 Black/red S2000 for 2 years. I don't know much about parts, I didn't modify anything, and don't intend to, just enjoying the original. My baby is currently under cover in the garrage. I drove her almost everyday in the summer.

She has about 27K on her and the back tires are slippin! Time to change tires and I'm looking for some tips and advice. I spoke to NTB and they said they would give me the same tires (4) as the original for around $716, is that a decent deal?
Look forward to chatting with you all.

Welcome to the forum!!!!

I have learned so much from other people here. I have no intention of modifying my S2000 either.

Welcome again.

Welcome to the family!

27k is quite a lot on those tires. That's a good price, but I think JCH can do better for you (if you're willing to go there). Speak to andyp or SuzukaS2k about who to contact in the service department there.

...again, welcome!

My advice is to go the Tire Rack, one of this forum's sponsors. They can probably get you all four for half that....

Wow. I've been swapping out my rears at about half that mileage.

For reference, Tire Rack has them for about $585 shipped. Mounting and balancing could set you back between $15 - $25 wheel depending on the shop. So, you'd probably be saving yourself $30 - $60. Might be worth it to have NTB do it, depending on if they can do it right.

Definitely have it serviced at Jim Coleman Honda. Eddie Farrow(Honda technician) is very knowledgable and is the only one who handles the S2000's. I was a service customer before I was an employee here. ...and that was when I was working at Ourisman Honda/VW of Laurel.

Hope to see you around.
