I'll be down in DC with a bunch of family (30 cousins) in early May. I didn't pick the hotels but these are the one's in the running:

1) Westin Grand - 2350 M Street NW
2) Washington Marriott - 1221 22nd Street NW
3) Wyndham City Center - 1143 New Hampshire Avenue NW
4) Hotel Topaz - 1733 N Street NW


I believe the selection process was something by Dupont Circle/Foggy Bottom that was convenient to the Mall and G'town, and was reasonable from a price perspective.

Does anybody have experience with any of these hotels? Can you recommend one over the others? Any alternatives.

1,2,4 are very nice. I have never been in 3. The Topaz is a nice little Boutique Hotel with great service.

 

I believe I used to stay in the Marriott all the time if that's the one with the steakhouse in it... nice place; of course I was like 12-16 years old at the time and lived in NY.

 

My girlfriend deals with hotels in this town a lot, as she is Ops Mgr for a tour company, I will ask her for recommendations and PM you with possibilities.
