Opinions on work from InlinePro?
I was wondering if any of you have had work done at InlinePro or know anyone that has, or even read or heard about install experiences there?
I'm looking for a reputable shop to do a suspension install. Before all of you just say, "go to Evolution in Chantilly" please understand that I'm looking at all of my options.
Experience/trained technicians, reputation, warranty, customer service, availability, worksmanship etc. are all part of my decision making process. Saving $100-200 to me isn't worth it if I have to go back to have a bolt re-torqued or the shop won't stand behind its work 12 months from now etc. (I've learned my lessons from my years of being in the professional car stereo competition circuit, I competed in IASCA 99-01, was in a magazine etc, reputable installers were hard to find in this area, but we got what we paid for)
So anyway, any information would be great. Also, if you happen to know of a shop other then Curry's, InlinePro, Evolutions etc...let me know.
thanks
Chris Ciccone
P.S. Yes, I had suspension work done on my Audi and VW, but I had them done at AutoThority. Turns out AutoThority has since been purchased by PitStop Motorsports and all the people I dealt with are no longer there. Well that is except for the installer that worked on my VW. So I already know what I need about him. (GOOD things actually).

I have NOTHING but good things to say about Inline. I took my civic there when I had it for EVERYTHING, and I'm glad I did. The customer service I got was top notch, the quality of work was impeccable, and overall I really liked the professionalism of everyone there. Everyone was very knowledgeable and friendly.
I haven't taken my S2K there, but that's only because I haven't had to get anything installed/fixed. I will definitely be taking my S2000 to Inline (for pretty much everything) because I know they have experience working on the car, but furthermore I will take my car there simply because of my previous experiences.
Let me know if you want any specific info...

You can try Ultimate Motorsports in Sterling since you live in Ashburn. They just hired Norris Proyoonto and Jason Hunt to work for them. If you don't know who these guys are:
Norris races the honda hybrid drag car.
Jason just picked up the saturn drag car that Lisa Kubo drove last season.
Talk to Brian, the owner of Ultimate. He's a down to earth guy and easy to deal with. Tell him Kevin and Peter sent ya.

Personally I would find a shop that does road racing (sets up customers cars etc) vs a Tuner shop.
Nothing against tuner shops, they seem to be geared towards making power etc.
There is a lot to setting up coilovers other than just bolting it on.
I recommend Ben Schaeffer at GTR Motorsports (301-854-6252), also known as Schaeffer auto) he is a honda specialist and had built several SCCA national winning cars.
His shop is the only place my cars go.

I think for me, I'm gonna take it to Inline for any engine and drivetrain related stuff, and consider another shop for properly tuning my suspension and handling...
Thanks for the contact info btw, I'll def keep it in mind when I decide to do something.

gFactor,
the number you gave has been changed to: 410-489-9334 and the phone answers and neither GTR or Schaeffer...something like Vision Auto, Acur/Honda specialists?
I left a message for them to call me back.
EDIT: Ben called me back 5 minutes later. He has two shops, the closest is about an hour from Ashburn. He seems to have done everything under the sun to an S2000, from Engine swaps to suspension installs.
he is also the second person I talked to that said he doesn't like to rush stuff and that it would take a day to install the suspension. (another shop owner I talked to said the same thing). Maybe a little more care from them?
Anyway, thanks gFactor for the info, he knew who you were and sounded like a stand-up guy.
take care
