Default Paint Shop Recommendations

Greetings! I have a small rock chip that I'd like to get repaired since it goes to the metal. Got the damn chip after 3 days of ownership Anyway, I have touchup paint and all but there's no way in hell I'm gonna mess the paint job up, so I'd rather have a pro do it if it's not too expensive.

So, has anyone had this type of work done and were satisfied with their shop? If so, what price should I expect to pay?

Thanks for your help!

Don't you just hate when that happens?
If you want the good job done by pro as you have said, the price won't be cheap since they will re-spray the whole panel as well as any adjacent panels.

You should contact Gregg, and ask for number and the place to his friend's body shop called Spectrum.
Spectrum already worked on several S2000's and it looked very good.

How do you think the rock chip happened?
Do you usually drive too close to the vehicle ahead of you?

I would just wait for a bit since you may get more chips, since Yellow color may be even harder to match it perfectly.

Good luck and please don't miss out on the meet next time.

Would love to see your 02' yellow in person!

1Randyc: yeah it tore me up when I spotted it! It's barely noticeable but of course I know it is there. As for how it got there, I suppose I could have been driving too close to others on the beltway and I-95 before I found this chip. Ever since then, I keep a good distance and try my best to avoid trucks and vehicles without mud guards

As for the cost, and the fact that I will likely get more of these, maybe I should just wait. I've read the FAQ on repairing these yourself with touchup paint, but I'm scared to screw things up. Of course if I messed things up that bad, I could just buy another members Spa hood for $200 I think I'll hold off for now.

Man I'm so bummed I missed the last meet! I want to check out all the modded and hot looking S2000's, and meet you guys. Happy hour sounds good sometime!
