Default Paint your calipers?

Finally got new wheels/tires on my baby:

But as I'm checking out the wheels and taking these photos, I notice I can see the ugly gray stock calipers. Does anyone have experience with taking these off and painting them a pur'ty color before re-installing them?

Try Sandblast America in Manassas. They did an excellent job on mine. You have to take them off and clean them up before dropping them off. Turn-around time is quick!

You can't powdercoat with the seals in place. Did they disassemble and reassemble them for you, too?

I'm curious to know how powder coating holds up... unless you use a high-temp mix, and those don't come in too many colors (red is the hardest to get in high-temp).

+1

I just bought brake parts cleaner, red caliper paint, and paint remover. Raised the car on jackstands, cleaned and painted the calipers, then removed any overspray.

Bill (Bighead) and I did the same, we applied about 6 coats and it has held up well over a year now.
